The actress has indeed come a long way from her child actor days.

Park Eun Bin has been in the industry for more than two decades and has played a variety of roles to date. Starting out as a child talent in 1996, then eventually transitioning to an adult, Eun Bin seems to have experience it all in the business.

She had her acting debut in 1998 and has since starred in several dramas, managing to land notable roles which endeared her to viewers. However, success did not happen overnight for Park Eun Bin. As a child actress, she played younger versions of characters in a quite a few series. Her first leading role was in the 2012 romance drama Operation Proposal.

After which she starred in supporting roles. She starred in both seasons of the slice-of-life youth romance series Hello, My Twenties! (Age of Youth) which aired in 2016 and 2017. Her role as the twenty-something Journalism major, Song Ji Won in this series earned praises and gained Park recognition.

Since then, Park Eun Bin has gifted us with remarkable characters in dramas Judge vs. Judge (2017), The Ghost Detective (2018), Stove League (2019), Do You Like Brahms? (2020), King’s Affection (2021) and Extraordinary Attorney Woo (2022).

In this magazine interview, Park Eun Bin talked about a lot of things such as her love for the word “pure” and her take on her character Song Ji Won, among others. She mentioned that she is a “safety first” kind of person. According to her, she has been that way because of some of the things she experienced while filming. She also recalled the things she did to keep herself safe since she started in the industry. Eun Bin revealed that in Summers, she would not go to swimming pools in fear of getting eye infection. Also during Winter, she would not go skiing because she might break her leg.

While admitting that she avoided doing a lot of things, she does not regret being cautious. “I think it has become a habit living like that. My lifestyle is just to live with utmost care and be satisfied with my acting.

The magazine feature mostly covered Do You Like Brahms?, Park Eun Bin’s drama at the time. Readers got a more in-depth look on how she has prepared for her role as Chae Song Ah. It was mentioned that Eun Bin rehearsed for the songs and played it herself to give an authentic feel. She has the calluses to prove how much she dedicated her time to learn.

Apart from Do You Like Brahms?, the interview also tackled some of the roles she played. Park Eun Bin revealed that as the years passed, as she works, she now values the process more than the result. “Honestly, Stove League and Do You Like Brahms? are all works I wanted to do regardless of the outcome.” She acknowledged “that there were some works that didn’t go well, but the process is important [to her]”.

Park Eun Bin added, “Even if the results are good, you can stay on your own, and there are works that you can remember comfortably even if they don’t do well at the box office. I have the hope that I can leave a meaning to someone if I care to do my job. I will choose the works I want to do in the future, but I will consider how it will affect the viewers.

Park Eun Bin got a little more candid in this interview as the discussion ranged from her Instagram posts to her definition of happiness. It also shed light on hoe she tries to overcome difficulties as well as some of her concerns.

She also revealed the driving force that keeps her going in the industry. “I take great pride in the fact that I have been working steadily without a hiatus. There was a time when I felt acting wasn’t all that fun. I thought deeply about what acting was, and I wondered why it wasn’t fun. Also, I have doubts when I don’t live up to my expectations. I wonder if I really did my best. Those thoughts, worries, and doubts led me to the next level.

Eun Bin eventually revealed that she is more confident now as an actor but adamant that she is still not fulfilled. Because according to her, it feels like her career is done the moment she feels satisfied.

Harper’s Bazaar Korea (published on October 06, 2021)

This edition of Harper’s Bazaar Korea centered on Park Eun Bin’s drama King’s Affection. She cited what made her accept the role and the filming challenges due to Covid-19. She also talked about her other project, the movie Witch 2 and her preparations as well as her experiences while shooting the historical drama.

When the discussion came to her motivation to work, Park Eun Bin said, “When I think about what motivated me to work since I was young, the only word that came to mind was ‘responsibility’. Things like the responsibility to always do my part well and the responsibility to live life.” She added, “Looking back, it seems that it took time to solidify and harden.” Eun Bin expressed her connection to her co-stars and because of that she stated, “So these days I’m in pretty good shape.

Allure Korea (published on June 24, 2022)

Park Eun Bin is a lot more expressive in this colorful issue of Allure Korea. Talking about a variety of subjects such as her daily activities, what has she been up to, previous and current projects and advise on how “not to be a rude adult”. But mostly, the feature is focused on her biggest role to date, Woo Young Woo from the widely praised and well-received drama Extraordinary Attorney Woo.

Eun Bin revealed that the offer to star in the series came at the same time as King’s Affection. But picked the historical drama instead because she was not confident that she would be able pull off playing the character of Woo Young Woo. “I was a little scared when I thought about whether I could do well without hurting anyone and without bothering anyone.

The actress said that it was her first time taking on a role of a genius character who is also on the autism spectrum. “I think I’ve been thinking about what is normal when dealing with this role. What is strange, what is abnormal, and are the people who say it is normal really normal? I have those thoughts.” When asked if she found the answers to her question, Park Eun Bin said, “In the end, if you look at ‘characteristics’ rather than ‘strangeness’, I think you can show a diverse group of people.
